How to get there

Keukenhof is easily accessible by both car and by train and bus. There are sufficient parking spaces to park your car for € 6.00 a day. Public transport can also bring you quickly and easily to Keukenhof from anywhere in the Netherlands.

By train and/or bus

Keukenhof can be reached directly by taking Keukenhof Express from Schiphol Plaza (Bus line 858) and from station Leiden centraal (Bus line 854). From Haarlem station you can travel straight to Keukenhof using Bus line 50. Other bus lines also stop at Keukenhof such as Bus line 50 (from Haarlem) and Bus line 90 (from Katwijk, Noordwijk and Noordwijkerhout).

Travelling by train? You can travel to Schiphol Plaza, station Leiden Centraal or Haarlem station from any other station in the Netherlands and then transfer to the bus to Keukenhof. The map below provides an overview of the train and/or bus travel options available.

Which ticket do you need?

In most cases the cheapest option is to buy a Combi Ticket. The latter allows you to travel to Keukenhof as well as providing access to the park. The bus driver will drop you off at the main entrance or close to it, after which you can walk straight into the park. The Combi Ticket is a return ticket.

Naturally, you can also travel using a different ticket such as your own travel card or OV-chipkaart (contactless travel card). If you do not have a discount subscription, the Combi Ticket is usually the cheapest solution. Check out our overview of sales points and tickets to see which other tickets can be used.

 

Combi Tickets

With a good value Combi Ticket (OV + park entrance) you can travel comfortably to Keukenhof. The bus driver drops you off by the main entrance and you can just walk straight into the park.

You travel from Schiphol Plaza (Keukenhof Express bus no. 858)

The Keukenhof Express bus no. 858 from Schiphol Plaza departs from the exit by Arrivals Hall 4 (next to Starbucks) and takes you directly to Keukenhof in 30 minutes. You can see the exact location of the bus stop here.

You travel from Leiden Central Station (Keukenhof Express bus no. 854)

The Keukenhof Express bus no. 854 from Leiden Central Station departs from the bus station on the town centre side of the NS-station and takes you directly to Keukenhof in 25 minutes.

You travel from Amsterdam centre (bus no. 197 and Keukenhof Express bus no. 858)

This Combi Ticket is also valid on bus no. 197, which is operated by the Connexxion bus company. You will find bus stops at several locations including the Leidseplein, the Rijksmuseum and the Museumplein. At Schiphol you transfer over to the Keukenhof Express bus no. 858. Go to 9292.nl for the nearest stop and the departure times.

Travelling from Amsterdam Zuid station (Bus Lines 310 + 858)

Connexxion Bus Line 310 runs four times an hour from the bus station at the Amsterdam Zuid station. Bus Line 310 takes you to Schiphol Plaza where you can transfer to the fast Keukenhof Express, Bus Line 858. Bus Line 310 has plenty of stops. On Saturday and Sunday there will be an amended timetable for bus no. 310. Check 9292.nl for the departure times.

Travelling from Amstelveen (Bus Lines 300 + 858)

Connexxion‘s Bus Line 300 runs up to ten times an hour from Amstelveen’s bus station. Bus Line 300 takes you to Schiphol Plaza where you can transfer to the fast Keukenhof Express, Bus Line 858. Bus Line 300 has plenty of stops. Check 9292.nl for the departure times.

You travel from Haarlem station (bus no. 50)

Bus no. 50 from Haarlem station departs from the bus station located on the town centre side. You alight at the Nachtegaal Hotel in Lisse. the main entrance to Keukenhof is only a 5 minute walk.

You travel from Katwijk, Noordwijk or Noordwijkerhout (bus no. 90)

Bus no. 90 has several bus stops on route. Check on 9292.nl for the closest bus stop and the departure times. You alight at the bus stop on Keukenhofdreef in Lisse. From there it is about a 5 minute walk to the Keukenhof main entrance.

2. Combi Ticket train + bus + Keukenhof entrance

The Combi Ticket train + bus + Keukenhof ticket allows you to travel by train from any station in the Netherlands to Schiphol Plaza or Leiden Centraal station where you can board the Keukenhof Express (Bus Line 858 or 854). You can also travel to Haarlem and then transfer to Bus Line 50 to Keukenhof.
You can buy the Combi Ticket train + bus + Keukenhof ticket from 1 March onwards from www.discoverholland.com or from a sales point.
The Combi Ticket is valid from 23 March - 21 May 2017 from every station in the Netherlands.

A number of sales points also sell special Combi Tickets that include a day ticket for the bus or train including the Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket (for the Province of Noord-Holland) and the Tourist Day Ticket (for the Province of Zuid-Holland). Keukenhof is located between Amsterdam and The Hague and is easily accessible via motorways A4 (exit Nieuw-Vennep) and A44 (exit 3, Lisse). 'Keukenhof' is well signposted after the exit.
