KEUKENHOF PARK REGULATIONS
Stichting Graaf Carel van Lynden [Count Carel van Lynden Foundation] (hereinafter to be referred to as: ‘Stichting’) registered with the chamber of commerce under number: 28088509 is the sole shareholder in Keukenhof B.V. which is responsible for the management and commercial operation of Landgoed Keukenhof.

These park regulations belong to Keukenhof B.V. (hereinafter to be referred to as: ‘Keukenhof’), registered with the chamber of commerce under number: 62341138 with its registered offices at Stationsweg 166A, 2161 AM in Lisse (NL).

There are two parts to these park regulations.

The first part (A.) pertains to the Kasteel [Castle] and the Landgoed Keukenhof [Keukenhof Estate], while the second part (B.) pertains to the Bloemententoonstelling Keukenhof [Keukenhof Flower Exhibition].

I. Definitions

1.1. Except in as far as the context proves otherwise, the words written with capital letters in these park regulations are defined words and expressions that have the meanings listed below:

Visitor: Visitor to the Castle and the Keukenhof Estate and/or the Keukenhof Flower Exhibition.

Flower Exhibition: The annual Flower Exhibition at Keukenhof that is only accessible with a Ticket.

IE law: Intellectual property rights including patents, copyrights, database law, adjacent legislation, branding rights, registered and unregistered designs and model law, trade names, knowhow and every other intellectual or industrial property right, registered or not as the case may be, irrespective of whether these are protected in the Netherlands or another part of the world.

Keukenhof estate: The entire Keukenhof Estate consisting of: the Castle and Keukenhof Estate, Keukenhof Flower Exhibition, leased agricultural and bulb cultivation land as well as all other property.

Keukenhof Castle and Estate: The publicly accessible Keukenhof Estate including 15 Rijksmonumenten [nationally listed buildings] as well as the wooded plots and excluding the leased agricultural and bulb cultivation land.
Park regulations: These park regulations.

Car parks: Car parks belonging to the Castle, Keukenhof Estate and the Keukenhof Flower Exhibition.

Privacy statement: Keukenhof’s privacy statement as published on Keukenhof’s website.

Ticket: Ticket, e-ticket or Spring Pass for the Flower Exhibition, ticket for guided tours at the Castle, tickets to concerts organised by Kasteel Cultureel [cultural castle] or tickets for events or activities organised by Keukenhof or external parties.

A. Castle and Keukenhof Estate

II. Admission

2.1. Admission to the Castle and Keukenhof Estate is free for all. No Ticket is required.
2.2. If Keukenhof Castle is open, admission costs € 5. Admission is free for Museumkaart [Dutch museum card] holders.
2.3. Admission to the Castle and Keukenhof Estate is solely permitted between sunrise and sunset. Different opening hours may apply for the buildings belonging to the Castle and Keukenhof Estate.
2.4. The admission hours for the Castle and Keukenhof Estate may change for Keukenhof or external party-organised events.

III. Parking

3.1. Visitors’ cars and bicycles can be parked at the designated Car park at the Castle and Keukenhof Estate. There are a limited number of spaces available. Parking at Keukenhof is free.
3.2. An exception to this rule is during Keukenhof or external party-organised events or activities during which parking fees may apply.
3.3. General traffic regulations also apply at the Castle and Keukenhof Estate Car park. The speed limit at the Car park is 10 km/h. Breaking the abovementioned traffic regulations may lead to reporting this to community support officers. This is the Visitors’ own responsibility.
3.4. Cars and bicycles not parked in the designated places risk being removed. Parking cars/bicycles outside the designated parking spaces is the Visitors’ own responsibility.
3.5. Campers or caravans may not be parked at the Castle and Keukenhof Estate Car park. No recreation or overnight stays are permitted.
3.6. Keukenhof is not liable for any damage that may develop to Visitors’ cars or bicycles parked at the Castle and Keukenhof Estate’s Car park.

IV. Liability

4.1. Accessing the Castle and Keukenhof Estate, their Car parks and all other facilities is entirely the Visitors’ own responsibility.
4.2. Keukenhof is not liable for any damage incurred by Visitors during a visit to the Castle and Keukenhof Estate including liability that arises from traffic accidents, accidents or theft unless Keukenhof can be held liable on the basis of the law. Keukenhof is only liable in the event of intent or gross negligence in which case every form of indirect, immaterial or consequential damage is emphatically excluded.
4.3. If a Visitor damages buildings, landscaping or other Keukenhof property then the Visitor is liable for this damage and Keukenhof retains the right to make the Visitor liable for all the restoration and repair costs, without impacting Keukenhof’s entitlement to full compensation.
4.4. In the event of vandalism, theft, violence and/or lewd behaviour Keukenhof will report this to the police.

V. Safety and Order

5.1. Visitors to the Castle and Keukenhof Estate may only access the site on foot with the exception of wheelchair, pram and/or buggy users.
5.2. Dogs are allowed into the park – with the exception of the buildings – as long as they are leashed. One dog per visitor. You must remove their faeces yourself.
5.3. Support dogs are allowed into the buildings as long as they are recognisable as such. Working support dogs may be recognised by the vest or harness they wear.
5.4. No form of aggression against Visitors or Castle and Keukenhof Estate staff will be tolerated. The police will be notified in the event of aggression and Keukenhof is authorised to refuse the Visitor admission to and presence at the Castle and Keukenhof Estate.
5.5. The use of drugs and excessive alcohol consumption are banned. Open cans or bottles of alcohol are prohibited at the Castle and Keukenhof Estate. Events organised by Keukenhof or external parties may permit open cans or bottles of alcohol.
5.6. If Keukenhof observes a Visitor under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or disturbing the peace and/or endangering safety in some other way, all to be determined solely by Keukenhof, the Visitor will immediately be denied admission to the Castle and Keukenhof Estate or the Visitor will be removed from the aforementioned. In this case, the removed Visitor has no right to any compensation.
5.7. Retrieving items disposed of for waste processing or destruction is not permitted at the Castle nor at the Keukenhof Estate. Doing so will be viewed as theft. Should this occur, Keukenhof retains the right to report the theft to the police.
5.8. The General Municipal Bylaw of the Municipality of Lisse applies at the Castle and the Keukenhof estate.
5.9. There is a demonstration ban in force at The Castle and the Keukenhof Estate. Proselyting for (e.g. for religions, political organisations or clubs) convictions, demonstrating or other public order disruptions are prohibited at the Castle and the Keukenhof Estate as a whole. In the event this regulation is broken, the board of directors of Keukenhof will decide which steps to take, if any, on the basis of the applicable internal procedures.
5.10. In an emergency Visitors should immediately call the National Alarm Number: 112. In the event of concerns call the police on: 0900 – 8844.
5.11. It is not permitted to cause nuisance to other Visitors to the Castle and the Keukenhof Estate with noise, ball games, sound equipment (e.g. portable speakers) and suchlike. If Keukenhof observes intentional noise, the staff is authorised to confiscate the sound equipment.
5.12. Flying drones or other flying objects over the Castle and the Keukenhof Estate is prohibited.

VI. Privacy

6.1. Visitors to the Castle and the Keukenhof Estate consent to being photographed and/or filmed for security purposes and service improvements or for publication and promotional purposes. Keukenhof retains the right to use these images for security purposes or for publication on its website or social media channels or for similar purposes.
6.2. If a Visitor does not wish to be filmed for publication and promotional purposes during their visit to the Castle and the Keukenhof Estate, they should avoid the areas shooting is taking place in and ask a member of staff or the production team not to film or photograph them.
6.3. Keukenhof ensures that the Visitor’s personal details are processed in line with the Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming [general data protection regulation].
6.4. For further information on the processing of personal details, Keukenhof refers Visitors to its Privacy Statement which can be found on the Castle and the Keukenhof Estate’s website (https://kasteelkeukenhof.nl/nl/privacy-statement/).

VII. Miscellaneous

7.1. It is prohibited to conduct promotions, polls, censuses, fundraising or sell on tickets, offer services and/or products in the Car park, outside the entrances or at the Castle and the
Keukenhof Estate without prior written permission. Professional photoshoots or workshops are prohibited without Keukenhof’s permission. 7.2. Photography and filming for personal use are permitted at the Castle and the Keukenhof Estate. The publication of images and sound recordings, and/or the use of images and sound recordings for commercial purposes is prohibited unless written permission has been provided.
7.3. Keukenhof retains the right to modify prices, the Park Regulations and special conditions without stating reasons.
7.4. The Castle and the Keukenhof Estate will not admit organised trips or tours without explicit prior permission.

B. Flower Exhibition

VIII. Admission

8.1. Admission to the Flower Exhibition is only possible with a valid Ticket. Tickets are only valid on the day and at the time they were issued for. Tickets issued for a period (such as subscriptions or personalised Spring Passes) remain Keukenhof’s property.
8.2. During the season, the Flower Exhibition is open daily from 08:00 – 19:00. It is closed the rest of the time.
8.3. Visitors should show their Tickets to one of the ticket inspectors when arriving at the Flower Exhibition. Children up to 16 years of age require adult supervision to visit the Flower Exhibition.
8.4. The parents, supervisors and/or guardians of minors and/or organisations that book and visit as a group are responsible and accept joint and several liability for the behaviour and actions, as well as any possible resulting damages, of their charges during a visit to the Flower Exhibition.
8.5. Visitors should be able to show ID, at all times. If you cannot, Keukenhof retains the right to refuse admission to the Flower Exhibition.
8.6. Tickets can be confiscated if Visitors do not act in accordance with these Park Regulations, to be determined solely by Keukenhof. In the event of fraud with Spring Passes, Keukenhof can confiscate these Spring Passes. Visitors who do not adhere to the Park Regulations will be ordered to leave the Flower Exhibition by Keukenhof staff. They are not entitled to the reimbursement of the ticket price or the rent and any possible security. Severe or repeated non-compliance can lead to a ban from the Flower Exhibition for a specified period of time.

IX. Parking

9.1. Visitors to the Flower Exhibition can park motorised vehicles such as cars, mopeds and campers as well as unmotorised vehicles such as bicycles at the Flower Exhibition’s Car park in the spaces defined. There are a limited number of parking spaces available. Parking is not free. A Parking Voucher is required for cars and campers.
9.2. The national road traffic regulations also apply at the Flower Exhibition’s Car park. The maximum speed at the Car park is 10 km/h. Breaking the traffic regulations may lead to us calling community support officers. Visitors are responsible for their own adherence.
9.3. Cars or bicycles not parked in the designated spaces risk being removed. Parking cars and/or bicycles outside the designated parking spaces is the Visitor’s own responsibility.
9.4. Parking your camper is permitted at the Flower Exhibition’s Car park. To this end, you require a special camper ticket that is only available in combination with a Keukenhof Ticket. Recreation or overnight stays are not permitted at the Car park.
9.5. Keukenhof is not liable for any damage that may develop to Visitors’ cars and/or bicycles parked at the Flower Exhibition’s Car park.
9.6. The instructions of Keukenhof’s parking attendants must be followed at all times. If Visitors do not adhere to the traffic regulations and/or the instructions, they may be refused admission to the Flower Exhibition.

X. Liability

10.1. Accessing the Flower Exhibition’s Car park and all other facilities is done entirely at the Visitor’s own responsibility.
10.2. Keukenhof is not liable for any damage that the Visitor suffers during a visit to the Flower Exhibition, including liability for road traffic accidents, accidents or theft, unless Keukenhof is liable on the basis of the law. Keukenhof is only liable in the event is intentional or gross negligence in which case, any form of indirect, immaterial or consequential damage are emphatically excluded.
10.3. If a Visitor damages buildings, greenery or other Keukenhof property, then the Visitor will be liable for this damage and Keukenhof retains the right to charge the Visitor for all the resulting restoration and repair costs, irrespective of Keukenhof’s right to comprehensive compensation.
10.4. In the event of vandalism, theft, violence and/or lewd behaviour, Keukenhof will report the preceding to the police.

11.1. Visitors to the Flower Exhibition may only access the site on foot with the exception of wheelchair, pram and/or buggy users.

11.12. Visitors are not allowed in the flowerbeds. No flowers may be picked and no flowers may be brought into the Flower Exhibition.

12.1. Visitors to the Flower Exhibition consent to being photographed and/or filmed for security purposes and service improvements or for publication and promotional purposes. Keukenhof retains the right to use these images for security purposes or for publication on its website or social media channels or for similar purposes. If a Visitor does not wish to be filmed for publication and promotional purposes during their visit to the Flower Exhibition, they should avoid the areas shooting is taking place in and ask a member of staff or the production team not to film or photograph them
12.2. Keukenhof ensures that the Visitor’s personal details are processed in line with the Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming [general data protection regulation].

XIII. Complaints

13.2. Complaints and disagreements with regard to online reservations and ticket bookings can be submitted by emailing the international ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
13.3. Keukenhof is a member of the Stichting Geschillencommissies voor Consumentenzaken [Dutch Foundation for Complaints and Dispute Resolution]. Complaints can also be submitted to the foundation: https://www.degeschillencommissie.nl/.

XIV. First Aid and First Aiders

14.1. If an accident or calamity occurs at the Flower Exhibition site, Visitors should adhere to the instructions provided by Keukenhof staff.
14.2. Immediately report an accident or calamity by calling the alarm number (+31 (0)252 465533) or by warning a member of Keukenhof staff.

XVI. Applicable Law

These Park Regulations are subject to Dutch law. All disagreements resulting from or in connection with these Park Regulations will solely be submitted to the competent court in The Hague.
